But it was time well spent and we learnt a lot about the science and art of gelato/sherbet/sorbet making and the commercial ways of churning the dessert. And more importantly we devised some sorbet flavours which turned out fantastic and here's featuring 4 of them...
Strawberry: The colour was lovely, intense dark pink enhanced by some blackcurrants
Mango: This is a favourite because the taste was almost identical to eating real mangos and texture was smooth and sticky, surely beats many others out in the shops.
Pineapple: This is a flavour which surprised us. I was never a big fan of pineapple as a fruit but I loved this sorbet, refreshing and fibre-enriched. A very healthy option!
Lemon: This reminds me of the super lemon sweets, sour but will definitely appeal to lemon sorbet lovers. And the texture turned out non-icy unlike the rest we've produced before.
And here's how they look scooped out and served, professional just like how you get them in the shops. My personal favourites are the mango and the pineapple, certainly we've got some winners here!
In case you can't get enough of bing chillin's creations, stay tuned for the next post where we'll feature our gelato flavours. Meanwhile, we're ecstatic that we've got some great desserts in our freezers that's gonna last us for weeks =)
Hello, can I check what machine are you using?
